Volleyball Repeats SLIAC Player of the Week, Schaeffer Claims Honor

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Greenville College's Nicole Schaeffer, a freshman from Carlyle, Ill., has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 19-25.

Schaeffer, a 5-9 outside hitter, averaged 4.2 kills per set and recorded a total of 36 digs and eight blocks in three matches played last week. She tallied two double-doubles on the week with 18 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 victory (25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22) in Greenville's first match against Principia College.

In the Panthers' second match of the week against Principia, Schaeffer had 12 kills and 16 digs as Greenville won 3-1 (25-17, 25-13, 22-25, 25-19). Schaeffer finished the week with 12 kills and six digs in only two sets played in a 3-0 win (25-16, 25-23, 25-13) over Fontbonne University.
