Women's volleyball splits at Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team opened their season with a win and loss at Millikin. The Lady Panthers lost to Millikin in the opener and defeated Dominican in the second match.

Sarah Watts accounted for eight points in the first match as she collected six kills, one service ace, and two block assists.

The Lady Panthers fell to Millikin 25-20, 25-12, 25-22.

Greenville redeemed themselves in the second match behind 16 kills from Allyson Mitchell as they won 25-18, 13-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Riley Hannula added 11 kills, and Sierah Ruffner produced 10 kills.

Jamie Schollenbruch produced a match-high 16 digs.

The Lady Panthers (1-1) face Washington - St. Louis on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
