Women's Basketball Can't Top Millikin in Season-Opener

FULTON, Mo.--The Lady Panthers opened their season with a road game against Millikin and lost a 64-53 battle.
The game was tied 26-26 at halftime, but the opposition surged past GC in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 38-27 to bring the game to its final score of 64-53.
Coley Baker led Greenville in the game, recording 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Also impressive for GC were Whitney Vitt and Emily Gundy. Both women contributed 8 points for the Panthers.
The team will play again tomorrow when they face Elmhurst at 11:00am.
