ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's basketball team's Taylor Paulin waited until it mattered the most to make her first three-pointer of the game, but it was the difference-maker as the shot went through the hoop with two seconds remaining to lift Greenville to a 55-53 win over Webster on Saturday.

The Gorloks and Panthers battled the entire afternoon with neither team holding a lead of more than four points at any time.

Greenville's Missy Deal and Coley Baker led the game's scorers as they posted afternoons of 16 and 14 points, respectively. Deal added 10 rebounds, and Baker had five blocked shots.

Greenville's defense limited Webster to a 26.3 percent shooting clip as the Lady Panthers made 40 percent of their shots.

The women won the game despite a turnover deficit of 23-14.

The Lady Panthers (12-5, 8-2 SLIAC) host Westminster on Wednesday night in a game that will break a tie for second place in the SLIAC standings.
