Women's soccer explodes for 10 goals in win at Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The women's soccer team will enjoy the long trip back to Greenville as they picked up a convincing 10-1 victory at Rockford on Monday.

Barbara Nigro filled up the scoring column, posting a goal of her own and adding four assists as she was involved in one-half of Greenville's scoring strikes.

Kieley Leach added two goals and an assist, and teammate Whitney Warner contributed two goals.

Suzi Conner added two assists, and Dani Pearce had a goal and an assist.

Liz Pisarek, Melissa Gallardo, Taylor Purkey, and Maddie Saffel all had one goal each.

Greenville dominated the contest, piling up 31 shots, including 19 on goal.

Shyanna Kelley was Greenville's goalkeeper in the first half, and she didn't face a shot.

Gabbie Hartin relieved Kelley at goalkeeper for the second half and faced three shots, allowing the lone Rockford goal.

The win improved Greenville's record to 2-2-1. The Lady Panthers face Hendrix on Friday at 7 p.m.
