Women's tennis takes fourth at SLIAC championships

BELLEVILLE, Ill. -- The women's tennis season concluded with a fourth place finish at the SLIAC tournament. The Lady Panthers fell to Westminster 5-1 in their final match.
Greenville fell behind 3-0 after doubles play as Westminster topped Greenville in three close matches, the tightest of which was a 9-8 loss by the No. 1 team of Lexi Baysinger and Anna Brannon.
No. 5 Emily Rauch gave Greenville its singles win with a 6-3, 7-5 victory.
Of the remaining matches, only Brannon's No. 2 singles and Abby Maurer's No. 6 singles matches were completed.
The Lady Panthers ended their season with an overall record of 6-12.
