Women's Track and Field Led by McMurtrey at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The women's track and field team were led by three top ten finishes in the Monmouth Fighting Scot Invitational on Saturday. Maggie McMurtrey's fifth place performance in the weight throw was Greenville's top placement.

McMurtrey's top mark in the weight throw was 47-5.25.

Gabby Perdue sprinted to ninth in the 60 meter dash. She finished in 8.27 seconds.

Sierah Ruffner was 10th in the high jump with a leap of 5-2.25.

The women return to action on Friday and Saturday when they compete at the NCCAA indoor national championships at Olivet Nazarene.
