BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The women's track and field team returned to action and competed at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. Maggie McMurtrey headlined Greenville's efforts for day as she was the event champion in the weight throw.

McMurtrey's toss was over three feet further than her closest competitor, teammate Ali Potthast, as it went 52 feet, one inch. Potthast's throw, which gave her second place in event, was 42-1.25. McMurtrey currently ranks as the 11th best in Division III with the throw.

Taylor Brunner completed the 60 meter hurdles in second place with a time of 10 seconds after running 9.97 in the preliminaries.
