Published: April 13, 2021

GREENVILLE, Ill.--The GC women's track and field team is expected to see success this season with a strong team of returners and some new faces.

Senior Taylor Brunner is one returner with high hopes for this season. Brunner competed in both the javelin throw and the heptathalon in the NCCAA Outdoor Championships. She came in 5th in the javelin with a distance of 33.13 meters. In the heptathalon, Brunner placed 6th, breaking the Greenville College school record. This season she hopes to be even more successful.

Maggie McMurtrey, a senior from Morton, Ill., also had an impressive 2012-2013 season. She placed 4th in the weight throw in the NCCAA Indoor Nationals and recorded an impressive 3rd place finish in the hammer throw at the NCCAA Outdoor Nationals.

The team will look to build upon last year's success and are expected to be tough competitors.
