Women's volleyball continues solid play

LINCOLN, Ill. The womens volleyball team evened their overall record at 5-5 with a five set win at Lincoln Christian on Tuesday night. Sierah Ruffner produced 12 kills, a hitting percentage of .579, two solo blocks and one block assist.
Greenville fell behind after the first set, dropping it 25-23, but the Lady Panthers evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-23 set victory. Lincoln Christian regained the lead with a 25-22 win in set three, but Greenville rallied with a 25-23 win in the fourth set and a deciding 15-13 final set triumph.
Overall, Greenville hit at a 21.3 percent clip with 56 kills and 26 errors in 141 attacks.
Kristen Laune posted 47 assists and four service aces.
Allyson Mitchell led Greenville in kills with 18, and Jamie Schollenbruch tallied 24 digs.
The Lady Panthers (5-5) travel to Spalding on Saturday to face Principia and Spalding in SLIAC action.
