Women’s Basketball Stumbles at Blackburn 60-73

CARLINVILLE, Ill. The women's basketball team dropped their second straight conference game Wednesday as they failed to control a balanced scoring attack from Blackburn College who posted fiveplayers withdouble figure scoring marks. Sophomore guard Laura Hobbie led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the losing effort.
Blackburn got scoring from a host of ladies but leading the effort was Sierra Shipley who netted 17 points and grabbed a game high 12 rebounds in her 34 minutes of play.
The Lady Panthers shot a season low 33.3 percent from the floor and struggled from the free throw line as well, only hitting 61 percent of their attempts.
Greenville(9-7, 4-5 SLIAC)hit the floor Saturday, Jan. 29, as they defend H.J. Long Gymnasium against Monmouth (Ill.) at 1p.m.
