Honor Societies

Health Experience Institute Classroom

Greenville University offers students participation in several honor societies as part of their GU experience.

Honor Societies provide connection internally to other students with similar passions, and to a much larger network of professionals in your chosen field. Guided by caring professors, membership in these honor societies provide real long-term benefit for students.

Beta Beta Beta (Biology)

Tri-Beta is a nationally recognized Biology Honors Association. We recently reopened our campus chapter and Tribeta is open to students studying or interested in studying biology-based majors.

Tribeta is focused on providing a space for students in the sciences, especially biology, to develop relationships with other students and faculty. It also provides a community of students who want to deepen their love and learning of science through fun events, research opportunities, hands-on learning, and an encouraging group to learn along with!

Psi Chi (Psychology)

The *Psi Chi club is “the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology” (RICE.edu).

Our university branch emphasizes openness to all psychology students, and we have worked in conjunction with the social work club on numerous occasions. We plan events around preparations for graduate schooling, mental health awareness, informational meetings, movie nights, ted talks, and the induction ceremonies.

Pi Delta Rho (Criminal Justice)

Pi Delta Rho is the GU charter of Alpha Phi Sigma (National Criminal Justice Honor's Society). Pi Delta Rho promotes character, service, analytical thinking, rigorous scholarship, and lifelong learning.

Further, we encourage students to keep abreast of the advances in scientific research, to elevate the ethical standards of the criminal justice professions, and sustain in the public mind the benefit and necessity of education and professional training.
