Brian Patton has been serving as the head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach at Greenville College since 1994. His men's track and field teams have been crowned NCCAA national champions 12 times while the women's track and field team has placed as high as second at the NCCAA championships.
Patton is a 22-time recipient of the SLIAC cross country coach of the year award and has coached 122 NCAA Division III national qualifiers, 44 NCAA Division III All-Americans, 111 USTFCCCA academic All-Americans, and four individual NCAA Division III national champions. Additionally, he has coached 155 all-conference athletes in cross country alone.
The men's cross country team has won 12 of the last 14 SLIAC championships while the women's team has won a total of 14 conference championships. The men's track and field team finished in seventh place at the 2004 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships with Patton at the helm.
Patton, a certified public accountant, graduated from Greenville College in 1988 and has a 15th place finish at the Vineman Ironman triathlon to his credit. He and his wife Heather have two sons, Elijah and Caleb.
