Men's Basketball Stumbles Against Spalding

GREENVILLE, Ill. --The Greenville men's basketball team suffered a defeat at the hands of Spalding81-61 on Saturday.
Greenville was led in scoring by Alex Mumphard whoscored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Mumphard also recorded 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Panthers.
Simon Martin was the Panthers' leading rebounder with eight. Todd Albertson added 7 rebounds and 2 assists for GC.
Spalding jumped out to a 43-22 lead at halftime and never relinquished control the rest of the game.
Jametrius Brasher was the high man for Spalding, posting 16 points andsix rebounds. Cody Cutsinger was right behind him, with 15 points.
With the loss, Greenville falls to 8-14 (3-10 SLIAC) on the season. Spalding improved to 16-7 (13-1 SLIAC). Greenville returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 12, when they host Principia at 8 p.m.
