Related Experiences

I worked with two Taiwanese teenagers integrating into a rural midwestern high school. (2002)

I taught one semester each of Intermediate Reading, Intermediate Oral Communication, Intermediate Pronunciation, and American Culture at the Intensive English Institute, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. (2004-2006)

 I taught reading, writing, pragmatics, pronunciation, social skills, grammar, and how to navigate forms and community espectations for the Adult English Language  program in St. Louis. I also proctored and scored the CASAS exam, which is an exam that  measures the basic skills and the English language and literacy skills needed to function effectively at work and in life.  (2006-2007)

 I helped design and teach the Beijing University Teachers program. I taught  lessons on the American Education System, Teaching philosophies, Pronunciation, and some conversational English. (Summers of 2010-2012)
