BIO BRIEF
Celebrating twenty-five years with Greenville University, the dry and witty Eric Watterson makes even learning statistics fun! As Associate Vice President for Teaching and Learning, he responsibly ensures that Greenville University and its faculty deliver on what we are committing to our students.
Eric is passionate about assessment, learning objectives, and leading the Habitat for Humanity efforts in the community of Greenville, Illinois. He has served the University in many capacities since he began with GU (GC) in 1998. He was an Associate Professor, teaching Statistics, Social Psychology, and Developmental Psychology courses; the Dean of Assessment and Institutional Research; the Assistant Chief Academic Officer; and today, the Associate Vice President for Teaching and Learning.
Eric resides with his lovely wife Tina (also a GU alum) in Greenville. He is the proud father of two very gifted sons - Nicholas and Christopher, who make visiting Colorado or Wisconsin a gift at any opportunity.
One of Eric's favorite annual pastimes is teaching an interterm class entitled "The Psychology of Skiing". Students spend a week learning some of the important basics of sports psychology, then hit the slopes in Colorado for some downhill skiing. Beginners and experienced students alike experience achievement on the slopes.
