Social Work at Greenville University
The Social Work program at GU will provide preparation in social work from a Christian perspective and training for lives of effective and redemptive service in a culturally diverse society and world.
The Social Work Program is designed to provide foundational courses that students will take to establish their knowledge base and electives in a variety of courses that will challenge them to think critically about issues affecting diverse population groups. Special attention is given to studying special population groups, including racial and ethnic minorities, those with disabilities, the elderly, children, and victims of oppression and injustice.
Application of knowledge is a vital component. All social work students will complete an internship where they will be challenged to integrate classroom knowledge with practical experience.
Greenville University Social Work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s Board of Accreditation.
