GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The baseball team had a rough day at Robert E. Smith Field as they lost game one 6-4 before falling 10-5 in game two to Dubuque.

In game one, senior Dillon Reel threw six innings and gave up three earned runs on four hits as his season record went to 0-2.

Jesse Getz hit a two run homer in the fourth inning that tied the score, but Dubuque added single runs in the fifth and sixth for the victory.

Getz scored two of Greenville's four runs.

In game two, Dubuque jumped in front early as they led 5-0 after the first inning and held a 10-4 advantage before Greenville was up in the fourth inning.

The Panthers got two runs in the bottom of the first to cut the lead to 5-2 and made it 8-4 in the bottom of the third. Greenville could only muster one more run.

Nate Miller had a solid offensive game for GC as he was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI.

C.J. Opp was the losing pitcher as he gave up five runs in the first inning.

Phillip Reedy surrendered three runs in two innings, and Cole Becker gave up two unearned runs in one inning.

Adam Lamb closed the game with four scoreless innings.

The Panthers (1-7) host Millikin on Tuesday.
