Coon Captures Player of the Week for Fourth Time This Season

GREENVILLE, Ill.-- Greenville senior, Corinne Coon, was honored as the SLIAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her part in the Panthers' two Conference wins this week. This marks the fourth time this season Coon has been named Player of the Week.

Coon, a senior from Warsaw, Ind., had a stellar week. She averaged 4.86 kills and 3.86 digs per set in the two matches she played in this week. Coon recorded 16 kills in a GC sweep at Iowa Wesleyan and added 18 kills in a 3-1 Homecoming victory over Spalding. Coon averaged .353 on the week and had just four errors. She also added 27 digs and three total blocks in the seven sets she played.

Coon has been an integral part of the Lady Panthers' success this year. She leads the team in kills, with 275, and has the highest Panther hitting percentage of .293. Coon also is second overall in the SLIAC in kills per set, averaging 3.93.
