ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- The Panthers traveled to Washington University and could not outplay the home team, falling in both games in the double-header. GC lost 4-6 and 0-11.

In the first game, GC had 7 hits and scored a total of 4 runs. Andrea Martin had 2 RBI and Danielle Helms and Ashley Sharp each added an RBI for the Panthers. Martin and Jessica Laubecher each recorded two hits in the game, and Martin had to runs for GC. Hannah Burger pitched the game for Greenville, allowing 5 hits and 6 runs. Burger faced 27 batters in the six innings she pitched.

In the second game of the double-header, GC was shut out 11-0. GC recorded 4 hits in the game, two coming from Shannon Elbe and and one each from Martin and Mattie Fairchild. Ashley Woodrome and Jessica Laubecher pitched for Greenville. Woodrome, who was credited with the loss, faced 13 batters, allowed 6 hits, and gave up 7 runs. Laubecher faced 15 batters and allowed 3 hits and 4 runs in the game.

This brings the Panthers record to 3-9 (0-2 SLIAC). The team will be on the road once again when they travel to Milikin on Wednesday, April 3. They will play another double-header, with games at 4:00 and 6:00pm.
