Women's Basketball Topped by Webster

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team got 15 points from senior Emily Gundy but came up short, falling 75-60 to Webster on Wednesday night.
Webster outpaced Greenville by 15 points in the first half, and that was the difference in the game. Twelve Lady Panthers scored in the contest, but Gundy was the only one with more than seven points. Greenville was outrebounded 54-39, which included giving Webster 29 offensive caroms.
Coley Baker had another outstanding defensive effort with seven blocked shots. Jamie Schollenbruch distributed three assists, and Claire Schmitt had five rebounds.
Greenville (8-13, 5-9 SLIAC) hosts Fontbonne on Saturday at 1 p.m.
