For students entering Greenville University fall semester 2024, the following scholar-shipping applies:
At Greenville University, every traditional undergraduate student accepted to the university automatically receives a merit award. The amount of your merit award will fluctuate based on your GPA and certain other factors.
Once you submit your FAFSA and know what you will receive in additional aid, state grants, and federal grants, you can compete or audition for an additional affinity scholarship. These affinity scholarships range from $ 500 to $2000 annually and are awarded for participation in:
- Outdoor Adventure Club
- Band – marching, choir, jazz
- Choir – concert, gospel
- Pursuit worship bands
- Cheer/Dance team
- Esports team
Simply contact your admissions counselor for information on how to audition or compete for one of the above clubs or organizations. You can also apply for a leadership scholarship ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 annually.

- Panther Scholars Character & Service Scholarship
- Champion Scholarship for Overcoming Adversity
All scholarships except for the McAllaster Honors Scholarship are available to transfer students.

And there’s more! When you attend an official Greenville Admissions-sponsored visit before attending New Student Orientation at Greenville University, you will receive an additional $500 VISIT GRANT per year for up to 4 years of attending Greenville University.
This grant not available for international students. Student must visit the physical campus of Greenville University. Individual visits, group visits, Experience GU Days, and scholarship days are all eligible events to receive the Visit Grant. The Visit Grant is renewable each year you’re an undergraduate student at GU, for up to four years. If you attend GU for four years, you will receive the $500 grant four times. The Visit Grant stacks onto other financial aid you receive from GU. You must be a degree-seeking, on-campus, undergraduate student to receive the grant. $1,000 per year assumes you are a full-time (12+ credits) student for both semesters. If you are less than full time you will not receive the grant.

Spirit Scholarship

The GU Spirit Scholarship is a non-NCAA scholarship offered to accepted cheerleading and/or dance athletes in the Greenville University Spirit Program at the Spirit Program Coordinator’s discretion.
