If you love music and are passionate about inspiring others, the GU music education program is the perfect choice for you. Students in this program can become certified to teach and supervise music in public schools from kindergarten through the twelfth grade in both instrumental and choral music. Our program empowers future educators to effectively connect with students in today's diverse and evolving cultural landscape.
As part of the Music Education, many ensembles are available at GU. Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Fusion Ensemble, Pursuit Worship Bands, and GU Choir offer the opportunity to become a valued member of a vibrant community. You can cultivate amazing friendships and share the joy of making music as together. Some ensembles offer the opportunity for affinity scholarships! These scholarships range from $500 - $2,000 and are stackable on top of larger scholarship packages.
To arrange for an audition for any of our music or affinity scholarships, or Music Education, contact 618.664.6568 or email:
