Nursing, BSN

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is offered in partnership with Goldfarb School of Nursing.

Greenville University, in partnership with Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis, now together provides a bachelor of science in nursing.

With a strong foundation in the sciences, Greenville University students receive two years at Greenville University and then the Goldfarb School of Nursing takes over to prepare you for your BSN. The partnership is called a 2+2 agreement, which means that program participants complete two years of prerequisite nursing coursework as GU students and two years of nursing study as Goldfarb students. Students will take some coursework on GU's campus in years 3 and 4. Students will travel to Goldfarb one day a week for classes. Greenville University will provide a free transportation option to students.

Greenville University (GU) chose to partner with Goldfarb School of Nursing because Goldfarb shares a desire with GU to provide students with an exceptional student experience. Goldfarb has a strong reputation within the nursing community. This can translate to better job prospects and opportunities post-graduation. Goldfarb School of nursing will provide ample opportunities for clinical experience, allowing students to gain hands-on training in various healthcare settings. This practical experience is invaluable for building confidence and competence as a nurse.

Goldfarb's pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination exceeds both state and national averages are above 90%

Your degree will be from Goldfarb School of Nursing. By NCAA regulations, students who wish to participate in athletics will pursue a path to receive a degree from GU in Medical Biology as well as a BSN from Goldfarb. Students who do not want to participate in athletics can pursue both a GU degree and a Goldfarb degree or simply a nursing degree from Goldfarb.

Clinical experiences occur at either Barnes Jewish Hospital in STL or Children's Hospital in STL. Students will be put in clinical groups together to allow for carpooling to save on costs.

This program prepares you for the opportunities and challenges you will encounter in this rewarding profession. As with any nursing program, you must first pass the National Council Licensure Examination in order to practice nursing.

Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College offers extremely generous scholarship offers, including a full-ride scholarship program. You can learn more about Goldfarb School of Nursing here. https://www.barnesjewishcollege.edu/
