Do you accept the Common App?

Yes

What are your ACT/SAT codes?

Our ACT code is: 1032 and our SAT code is: 1256

How should official transcripts be sent?

They can be sent digitally, using a secure service, such as Parchment, or directly from the guidance office’s email account. Or they can be mailed to: Greenville University Admissions, 315 E. College Avenue, Greenville, IL 62246

What if students haven’t taken the ACT/SAT?

We are a test-optional university. We do not require a test score for admissions or scholarship purposes.

What courses should high school students take to be prepared for GU’s curriculum?

An exact course distribution is not required, but Greenville recommends at least eleven of the minimum sixteen units earned be in college preparatory subjects. It is highly recommended that entering students have:

  • four years of English in high school
  • one year each in algebra and geometry
  • two years of foreign language
  • at least one of year of laboratory science
  • one year of American history.

    Do you allow group visits?

    Yes, we do! Contact our Admissions Office to schedule a custom group visit for your class, youth group, club group, etc.

    Do your scholarships have deadlines?

    Some do and some don’t. Some scholarship programs have firm application deadlines, and some admit on a rolling basis until all slots are filled. Our website has a detailed listing of all scholarship programs and deadlines.

    How many different majors does GU have?

    We offer over 30 different majors.

    What accelerated programs do you offer?

    We offer several 3-year degrees that allow students to complete their majors at an accelerated rate. These include:

    Do you offer dual enrollment opportunities?

    Yes, Greenville University allows students who haven’t yet finished high school to take up to six credit hours of online courses while dually enrolled in high school. Interested students should complete a guest application and submit an official high school transcript and/or standardized test scores.
