Alex Weatherspoon

Hi, I’m Alex Weatherspoon, and I serve as a Multimedia Specialist in the Marketing Department at Greenville University. I joined the GU team in 2025, bringing with me more than five years of experience telling stories through video and live media.

I got my start filming and streaming for an Esports club at the University of Missouri before working as a videographer for Chi Alpha Student Ministries and their national office. Those experiences shaped my passion for capturing authentic moments and helping organizations communicate their mission through compelling visuals.

In my role at GU, I focus on creating engaging multimedia content that highlights the people, stories, and experiences that make this campus unique. I work extensively with the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve to bring ideas to life—from concept to final cut.

A Scripture that grounds my work and perspective is Mark 8:36: “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?”
