Andy Lambert M.A.

Hello, I’m Andy Lambert, and I joined Greenville University as the Vice President of Student Development in December 2025. My calling is to support students as they grow in character, deepen their faith, and engage meaningfully in our campus community. I’m passionate about creating environments where students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged as they discover who God has called them to be.

I earned my B.S. in Physical Education from Trinity International University in 1991 and later completed my M.S. in Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance at Chicago State University in 1997. During my time at Trinity, I also had the privilege of playing collegiate football—an experience that shaped my understanding of teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Before coming to GU, I spent 32 years in college athletics, serving both as an athletic director and a football coach—with 25 of those years spent as a head coach. Those decades taught me how to mentor students, foster healthy team cultures, and lead with humility and purpose.

A passage I strive to model in my work is:

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” — Philippians 2:3–4

As I step into this role at Greenville University, I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our students and help them flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.
