I currently serve as senior advisor of athletics at Greenville University, where I’ve been part of the Panther community since 1988. Over my 37 years at GU, I’ve served as head men’s and women’s basketball coach, director of athletics, and professor in the sport management and kinesiology department.
My journey in higher education and ministry has always centered on the integration of faith and sport. I hold a Master of Ministry degree from Bethel College and a Master of Science in Education (Sport Management) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. My Ph.D. from Saint Louis University deepened my understanding of the intercollegiate athletics landscape—particularly within small, faith-based liberal arts institutions.
Throughout my career, I’ve combined my passion for athletics and youth ministry to help students grow as competitors, leaders, and followers of Christ. Whether on the court, in the classroom, or through mentorship, my goal has been to help each student discover how faith shapes character, teamwork, and purpose.
