Originally from Brentwood, Tenessee, and lnown as "Dr. D" by her students, Grace enjoys being mom to Charlie and a vocal pedagogy nerd when not on stage or in the classroom.
Previous credits include Gertrude in Roméo et Juliette (Opera Mississippi), Madame Giry in Phantom of the Opera (Southern Opera & Musical Theatre Company), Featured Soloist in Songs for a New World (University of Mobile), Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief (University of Tennessee-Chattanooga), The Secretary in The Consul (University of Mobile), La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi (Red River Lyric Opera), and Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, the Musical (Chattanooga Theatre Center), for which she received a Miss Annie award nomination.
Why do I teach? I teach because I love the process and getting to know my students!

Grace Denton, Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Vocal Studies at Greenville University, holds a DMA in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Mobile, where she studied with Dr. Maryann Kyle. Grace is originally from Brentwood, TN and graduated with her Masters in Music Performance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
