Lainey Russell

Hi, I’m Lainey Russell, and I serve as the Assistant Women’s Gymnastics Coach and an Admissions Representative at Greenville University. I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, concentrating in Human Biology. My time at NC State shaped both my academic interests and my commitment to helping students grow—in the classroom, in their sport, and as individuals.

I’ve been coaching gymnastics for 10 years in a wide variety of settings, and I love helping athletes develop confidence, skill, and discipline. Coaching has allowed me to mentor students in meaningful ways, and stepping into admissions has given me an additional avenue to support students as they explore their next steps.

Whether I’m working with prospective students or supporting our athletes, my goal is always to create an encouraging, uplifting environment where people feel valued and capable of reaching their potential.
