Mark Thomas

Mark has degrees in French, counseling, and ministry – with the latter degree focusing on leadership and change management. He is passionate about transformation, helping individuals and organizations reach their God-given potential. He served as a parish pastor for 20 years and a leadership consultant to churches and other organizations. He spent six years working as a pastoral counselor through a local congregation and as a counselor in a county mental health center. He also started and ran a business providing services to the public school system, helping students diagnosed with ADHD succeed in the classroom through coaching and teacher/parent interventions.

He and his wife, Sheila Thomas, MD, have two adult children, Andrew and Colin. They also consider Renan – a high-school exchange student who then stayed and attended Greenville University – as another son. Mark enjoys languages, travel, music, cooking, and, more recently, jogging. He had the surprise of his life when he actually placed in a 5k race. Recently, his family gathered for a reunion with Renan in Brazil.
