I have spent nearly three decades working in education and athletics, serving as a teacher and coach at BCCU for 29 years. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University and an M.S. in Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping students grow both academically and physically.
My work in strength and conditioning has been shaped by certifications through ILSA, NASM, and the Overtime Athletes (OTA) program. OTA’s focus on athletic development and programming has been a game changer in how I train and mentor students. I use these methods to help athletes improve strength, speed, and mobility while developing discipline and confidence that carries beyond the weight room.
A verse that has guided my life and coaching philosophy is 1 Corinthians 9:24–25, which reminds us to run the race with purpose and discipline in pursuit of something that lasts forever. That mindset continues to shape how I approach coaching and daily life.
