Sonya Jones is an Assistant Professor of Sport and Kinesiology at Greenville. She is a 1996 Graduate of Greenville College where she was a 2X All-American in Softball. Sonya is also an Athletic Hall of Fame recipient as well as a Greenville University Young Alumnus Award Winner.
Sonya Jones is also an author, motivator, and speaker who lost 144 pounds as a finalist on Season 16 of NBC's The Biggest Loser. Sonya was the only female finalist in the show’s 16th season and lost the show by only .01%, which was the closest loss in the show’s history.
Since the show Sonya has developed a passion for helping others attain their health and wellness goals. In addition to teaching at Greenville, she also owns and operates two weight loss clinics called Losin' It with Sonya Jones.
