This semester the Outdoor Adventure program will once again be doing gullies trail cleanup and maintenance a couple of times per month. For those unfamiliar, the “gullies” is a wooded area on the north side of campus, just north of Little Bass House. The area currently has a .5-mile trail through the center of the property and is maybe the only area in Greenville city limits with an established walking trail through woods.
Twice per month, normally on Wednesdays, our OA program meets at the start of the trail and works in the woods from 330-5 pm. The work consists of picking up trash, removing vines from trees, clearing downed trees, removing invasive plants, and exploring areas for new trails. We welcome anyone who is interested in helping us with this work. We also often have students outside of our OA group join us in this work when they need community service hours.
