Are you interested in a summer job?
Do you want experience touring with a band?
Would you love to invest in the lives of High School students?
If you answered “yes” to those questions, Summer Pursuit might be a good opportunity for you!
There will be an info meeting Tuesday, November 5 at 6:30pm in Luzader (Whitlock Music Center, 206). If you are interested at all, make plans to come to this meeting and learn more. Attending does not commit you to the summer tour, but will answer your questions to help you make an informed decision.
What is Summer Pursuit?
This team is the summer iteration of our campus worship teams. It includes 7-8 students who are excited to serve at camps in the Midwest for 6-8 weeks in June/July.
Vocalists, instrumentalists (bass, electric/acoustic guitar, drums, etc.), and sound engineers are all encouraged to apply.
While you do not need to be a music major, the nature of this position requires musical ability. It also involves recruiting opportunities, but at its heart, it is a ministry opportunity to spiritually invest into the lives of students in a camp setting.
Here are the responsibilities/perks:
- Engage with high school students and alumni.
- Serve as camp worship team, and sometimes as counselors and other activities. (Pursuit will be at a different camp each week)
- Stipend
- All lodging/food expenses covered by the Pursuit program while on the road
How do I apply?
You don’t need to currently be in a Pursuit band to be considered; anyone is welcome to apply!
Applications will be open after the info meeting. Deadline to apply is December 1. APPLY HERE (jotform link).
I still have questions!
I will answer questions at the info meeting Tuesday, November 5, 6:30pm in Luzader.
If you can’t make it, just email me at nathan.kriebel@greenville.edu if you have questions. I’d love to have a conversation if you’re on the fence.
