Cider and Scholars reimagines a historical event hosted by Ruby E. Dare herself in the 1960s. Previously known as “Book Ahead Day,” this event once celebrated National Library Week. In the spirit of Dare’s original vision, “Cider and Scholars” features faculty and staff members displaying a few of their favorite books for students to browse and discuss. Professors, staff, and students are encouraged to engage in informal intellectual conversations during the event!
