The Catalyst Fund

Gym & Rec Center Front

Students helped:  Those enrolled in science classes, student researchers

Purpose: Supports student research. Provides for the purchase of large equipment and equipment repairs not covered by annual departmental budgets.

Background: Donor-funded, GU’s Catalyst Fund has powered undergraduate research via the Summer Research Experience for more than ten years. Student researchers and other students use advanced instruments typically reserved for graduate students and faculty at other institutions. This hands-on experience prepares them for success in graduate school and in scientific careers.
