Greenville University expands its footprint with two capital construction projects to meet the needs of current and future students. GU completes the new residence hall and athletic facility in early 2024.
A new residence hall will feature housing for 246 students, expanding our campus' unique housing options, many of which are now being updated. The space will include classrooms to facilitate nurses training that fills a regional need, a state-of-the-art on-campus workout facility, and areas for students that foster community and fellowship. We further meet our goal to partner with our community as we build ever closer to the town square.
A new athletic facility at the John M. Strahl Athletic Complex will honor former GU presidents W. Richard Stephens and Robert "Ish" Smith. The facility will feature:
- The W. Richard Stephens Field House and Robert "Ish" Smith Museum featuring major league baseball memorabilia
- A grandstand, press box, locker rooms, and restrooms
- Expanded capacity to host events, including high school and regional events
Funded by gracious donors, these facilities will improve the GU experience for current students and draw new students to GU's Christ-centered education and athletic programs.
