Current assessment activities include information on a full range of projects and activities recently completed or currently underway to gauge student learning, make improvements or respond to accountability interests. These assessment instruments are administered on a rotating schedule.
National Survey of Student Engagement
The NSSE measures how students spend their time and what they gain from attending college. Greenville University administered the NSSE to first-year and senior students in 2015, 2018, and will be administered again in Spring 2021.
Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE)
The Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) was designed to complement the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), which is administered to undergraduate students. FSSE measures faculty expectations for student engagement in educational practices that are empirically linked with student learning and development. The FSSE was administered to faculty in Spring 2015.
Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI)
The Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) is one tool Greenville University uses to improve the quality of student life and learning. The SSI measures student satisfaction and priorities, showing how satisfied GC students are as well as what issues are important to them. The most recent administration of SSI is scheduled for Fall 2019.
