The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a community working to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA seeks to make disciples through engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

Because of their commitment to students through FCA, the coaches, teachers, and staff who are FCA sponsors in junior high and high schools throughout the region can work toward their graduate degrees at a discount.

The partnership supports any master's-level online programming at Greenville University. FCA affiliates could pursue the MBA, MSM, any education master's degree, and endorsement coursework and receive a ten percent discount.

Given the clientele of the FCA, Greenville University anticipates increased participation, particularly in the Master of Arts in Education with a focus on coaching.

According to Doug Faulkner, professor in the program and coach for thirty years, "the MAE in coaching at Greenville University provides a niche focus on character development and faith integration. FCA fosters exactly what Greenville University prioritizes. It's a privilege to partner with an organization that shares our vision of the power of sport when used correctly."

Greenville University's mission is to empower students for lives of character and service through a Christ-centered education. Equipping faculty and coaches to lead students within their schools benefits the FCA program leaders and students they serve.

Crystal Foles, Director of Teacher Education, affirms GU's dedication to helping educators meet their goals. "We are thrilled to welcome a new partner to our GU community, further enhancing our commitment to providing affordable educational opportunities to those who seek to become a licensed educator or to advance their current degree. As we assess the current state of education, it's evident that many individuals aspire to obtain professional licenses or advance their degrees but are hindered by time and financial constraints. Through this collaboration, GU reaffirms its dedication to assisting individuals in achieving their goals by offering accessible courses and licensure programs."

Any business or organization interested in offering the benefit of reduced tuition for GU's online classes to its employees or affiliates may contact Emily.brooks@greenville.edu.
