Follow Me: Inspiring Students to Embrace God's Call

Our college community launched the 2016-17 school year with a chapel service that focused on the many ways our Lord, in His kindness and mercy, woos and captivates us with His call. President Filby talked about:

• Biology professors among us, so inspired by God’s created splendor that they facilitate quiet times of reflection at Ayers Field Station for others to experience this inspiration too.
• Student-leaders, so moved at the start of the school year to embrace their work that they fast and pray before other students arrive on campus.
• History-lovers in our midst, so inspired by the depth of our Christian heritage that they remind us often how tradition sustains and teaches us.

The 2016 Fall issue of The RECORD, just out, continues this theme. It focuses on GC’s vision statement that says, “We inspire students to embrace God’s call.”
