They learn how to critically think as well as work on complex projects integrating graphic design, digital music, web based digital communications and internet development skills. Recently, seven GC students, The Vista magazine staff, and a GC professor earned awards at the American Advertising Gala in East Peoria, Ill. for their hard work and dedication to excellence in digital design.

GC junior, Logan Nelson, earned an astounding seven Gold awards. Nelson was awarded two Golds for Cinematography, two Golds for Still Photography, one Gold for Television and two Golds for his Publication Cover design for "The Vista".

Senior Rebekah Dothager earned a Silver award for her Infographic poster design titled "The House of Hogwarts" and senior Aaron Phillips took home a Silver for Television. Junior Anna Brannon earned a Silver for photography as well.

The animation explains the use of a new product called InfoSAGE, which is sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation. InfoSAGE is created by the Division of Clinical Infomatics, a Division of the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, clients of Wilcoxen. Wilcoxen remarks, "The product, InfoSAGE, is a tool to help families communicate and coordinate regarding the care of senior members (i.e. aging parents)." Wilcoxen worked in collaboration with GC graduate Taylor Likes to create the piece.
