Greenville University's Nick Morrow Earns His Way Onto Oakland Raiders' Final RosterGreenville University celebrates with Nicholas Morrow, its first ever NFL player! The Oakland Raiders welcomed Morrow onto the teams 53-man roster Saturday, September 2. Morrow will begin his NFL regular season career on Sunday, September 10, in Nashville, Tenn., against the Titans. During an exclusive interview with Greenvilles SVP, Dr. Edwin Estevez, Morrow stated, Its not who I am or what I am made of, its all God.

Morrow, a biology major at Greenville, is widely recognized by faculty and coaches as a smart, talented, hardworking individual both on and off the field. Morrow celebrated Greenville Universitys 30th football season with the Panthers last year touting its unique character and community development EMAP program (Every Man a Panther).

Morrow, who caught the attention of NFL scouts during his collegiate career, was signed as an undrafted free agent. As a defensive back from Huntsville, Ala., Morrow was Greenville's first AFCA NCAA Division III All-American. He was also the UMAC's most valuable defensive player and a member of the UMAC's first team all-conference squad.

Over four years as a Panther, he collected 151 solo and 71 assisted tackles over 34 games. He added five quarterback sacks and 38 tackles for a loss of yards.

In the takeaway department, Morrow added four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and three interceptions. He scored two touchdowns in 2014, one on a punt return and the other on a fumble recovery. He was asked to carry the ball in 2016 and scored two rushing touchdowns and a two-point conversion.
