Job Title: Digital Media Intern
Location: The Factory Theatre, Greenville University
Supervisors: Production Manager and Marketing & Promotions Committee Chairs
Internship Type: Part-time, unpaid (credit available through academic program)
Term: Fall 2025 Semester
About The Factory Theatre: The Factory Theatre is the home of student and community theatre at Greenville University. Located in a historic industrial building, The Factory Theatre offers a unique space for creative expression and collaboration.
Position Summary: The Factory Theatre is seeking a creative and motivated Digital Media Intern to help share our story and amplify our productions through engaging digital content. This position is ideal for a Greenville University Digital Media major looking for hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy, and community arts marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with theatre creatives to design and execute digital campaigns for productions and events.
- Create and schedule engaging content across The Factory Theatre’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Film and photograph rehearsals, performances, and behind-the-scenes activities.
- Edit photos and videos for promotional use.
- Design promotional graphics (posters, story slides, cast features, etc.) using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist in writing copy for posts, newsletters, and event announcements.
- Maintain and update the theatre’s social media presence.
- Monitor engagement analytics and suggest strategies to improve outreach.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current Greenville University student majoring in Digital Media or a related field.
- Passion for digital storytelling, media production, or content creation.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Experience with video and image editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Photoshop).
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
