Freshman & Transfer Students

FAFSA filing is required. The University preferred FAFSA filing deadline is Dec 1. File the FAFSA as soon as possible after Oct 1 for the best benefit. Eligibility is based on Federal Requirements. Click here for more information.

Eligibility

Federal Pell Grants are usually awarded only to undergraduate students. The amount of aid you can receive depends on your financial need, the cost of attendance at your school, and other factors.


How to Apply

You should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Schools use the information on the FAFSA® form to determine your eligibility for a Pell Grant, and if so, how much you’re eligible to receive. You must fill out the FAFSA form every year you’re in school to stay eligible for federal student aid, including Pell Grant awards.
