MOSAIC Diversity Scholarship

Be a part of Greenville University's Mosaic Diversity Scholarship Program, an initiative led by the Office of Culture and Diversity.

The mission of Mosaic Diversity Scholarship Program is to celebrate God’s beautiful mosaic of creation, and to bring people of all races, genders, and creeds together as one to increase the awareness and celebration of diversity within and beyond the community of Greenville University.

Each year, we carefully select 15 scholars who showcase exceptional academic achievements and a strong commitment to promoting diversity through active service and education in their schools, churches, and communities. A dedicated team consisting of the Mosaic Scholarship Coordinator, Office of Admissions, Office of Culture & Diversity, and various student-leaders, thoughtfully selects scholarship recipients.

Eligibility

Embrace the opportunity to stand out during your admissions journey by considering our Mosaic Diversity Scholars Program.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Participation in campus or community activities that strive to serve people from under represented backgrounds and marginalized groups including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities).

Requirements for renewal:

• Keep making steady progress towards your degree.
• Maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours or more); and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Live on campus.
• Participate in campus or community services activities that encourages and promotes unity.
• Active member of Mosaic Student Association

Mosaic Student Association Membership

Scholarship recipients are expected to participate in the Mosaic Student Association and various campus and community service opportunities.

The Mosaic Student Association is an intentional group united to educate and celebrate cultural differences to bring awareness to the student body so unity may be practiced among the campus community and beyond.

The purposes of the program are to:

• Engage in projects and programs that raise awareness of the interests and concerns of minority communities.
• Aid in the academic development of the minority student body at Greenville University.
• Aid in the recruitment and selection of minority students and faculty.
• Celebrate the diversity of our college community and surrounding communities through music, awareness campaigns, conversations, and small forums.

As a Mosaic Diversity Scholar, you will have access to a range of benefits and resources. These include mentorship opportunities with staff, faculty, and professionals who are leaders in their respective fields. Through these mentorship experiences, you will gain valuable insights and guidance to help you succeed academically and professionally.

Additionally, Mosaic Diversity Scholars will have the opportunity to engage in various activities and events that promote cultural exchange and understanding. These events will provide a platform for you to share your unique perspectives and learn from others, fostering a welcoming campus community.
