Crisis Management – often referred to as disaster management, emergency management, risk management, and continuity management – is the framework for which companies, communities, and organizations respond to natural and other disasters, including acts of terrorism, accidents, active shooter/threats, and pandemics.

The focus of crisis management is on mitigating the risks and preparing for catastrophes and disasters. Crisis management requires that all levels of government, and non-governmental organizations, work together collaboratively to coordinate their emergency management response, contingency, and operational plans. Crisis management focuses on planning and responding to threats or actual disasters and recovering the community, and first responders, back to normal.

Within the crisis management minor, you can pursue one of the following tracks:

  • criminal justice leadership
  • human body/forensic anthropology
  • human mind/mental health

Enhance your ability to reduce risk of, prepare for, mitigate loss from, and respond to varying types of crises, recognizing that part of the recovery process necessitates care for those that have experienced trauma from the crisis or experienced trauma as responders to crises.

Care for All

Care for All

God calls us to love and care for all people, but repeatedly in the Bible those in need, those hurting, or those oppressed are emphasized of particularly deserving of our care and our service. This program prioritizes care for the least of these.
