Hands-on experiences fuel servant leadership
Our goal is to help each student succeed academically, develop skills, and succeed in college and beyond through Christ-centered experiential learning opportunities.
Experiential Learning
Experiential learning connects students with experts in their fields, cultivates collaboration across multiple disciplines, and fosters professional, and personal growth.
More than 525 students participated in experiential learning classes and collaborations in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Experience First Program
The Experience First semester teaches students how to create, collaborate, and solve real marketplace problems. Teams of students are paired with businesses or nonprofits to address a challenge. The students work closely with their professional partners to achieve the partners’ goals.
DRAWN TO CHRIST-CENTERED LEARNING
Marshall Weigang
Biology major Marshal Wiegand is the grateful recipient of donor funded scholarships that enabled him to participate in GU’s Outdoor Adventure immersive experience. When you give to Greenville University, you help students access rich “learning-by-doing” experiences beginning freshman year.
Marshal says, "GU is a perfect place to grow in faith and as a person. Thank you donors, and thank you GU."
Growth Beyond Measure
Without donors, I would have missed out on the greatest growth I’ve experienced in my life. GU is a perfect place to grow in faith and as a person. Thank you, donors; and thank you, GU.
