More than 200 Greenville University students interacted with about 60 businesses and organizations at the school’s annual Career and Internship Fair this spring on the GU campus.
“This event helps students explore opportunities for a variety of part-time or full-time jobs or internships,” said Kelli Pryor, Assistant Director of Career and Calling. “It also allows students to hone their networking and interviewing skills.”
The four-hour, come-and-go event was held in the GU Recreation Center. In addition to local and regional businesses, about 10 area school districts participated, hoping to attract graduating education majors.
“We thought the fair went really well,” said Ally Cantrell, a GU senior who helped Pryor with the fair. “Students felt that they built some important connections. It boosted their confidence and hopefully opened some doors for them.”
