Success in College?

Sometimes college just seems flat-out impossible. We may begin to ask ourselves, "What will this all lead to in the end? Will there be success?"

Success can always happen, but you must help make that success happen. Making sure you're in a good environment, on time for class, ready to focus, turning in your assignments, making educated guesses when in doubt, finding quiet places to study, creating practice tests before exams, and staying connected with others is important. Use your time at college wisely.

In addition to all of this, college is a great way to discover what you like or dislike. Taking courses that relate to a particular field will expose you to the material you will face if you pursue that study as your major.

Now, you may be asking yourself, what resources should I stay in touch with to enhance my success?

Be familiar with:

the library

your professors

your TA (teaching assistant)

how you personally work

how you study best

how to create a portfolio

how to plan for the future
